I have a clearance item that my customers need to pay the FedEx shipping
rate and not have the option of choosing the discounted shipping rate that we offer on all the rest of our products. On the product page above the add to cart button, I put a note telling people that they have to select the FedEx option for the product, but wasn't working. I changed the default shipping option to FedEx thinking that I'd be OK, but now I have customers that are eligible for discounted shipping choosing FedEx and paying 2-3x what their rate should be. Anyone have any advice? |

Have you thought about just adding the shipping cost to the cost of the product less the normally discounted shipping amount? Basically - if the item is on clearance for $10 and shipping is $5, but they are only paying $2, then make the clearance price $13 - or just add the shipping into it and give that particular item "free shipping" as the entire shipping cost is already in the price. Hopefully that makes sense? Todd |
