missing order numbers |

Our customer is upset because they can't account for all the order numbers. Occasionally an order number can not be found and they don't know if it means that order is lost in cyberspace or what. Does anyone else have this problem?

This is perfectly normal as not all orders are completed. Orders that were not completed can be found under "Orders > Incomplete Orders". In most cases, an order is incomplete simply because the customer decided not to complete the purchase.

Thing is there are more missing order numbers than there are orders in Incomplete Orders and this missing order number phenomenon has just started happening recently.

It could be a payment gateway that has not been setup properly and is therefore not "talking back" to ProductCart correctly. It could also be an expired SSL certificate, which also affects communication with the payment gateway. If you cannot find the problem, you should open a support ticket.
