Saving Cart after user closes browser!!

   Hello, I am using ProductCart for a clients website. Does anyone know as to how I would go about adding the feature of saving a users Shopping Cart information even after he/she closes their browser, like Amazon.com??
Is this modification possible and I think maybe cookies are the answer? If anyone has any info, it would be greatly appreciated.
