V5Store -Apply Product Layout to multiple products

V5Store - Upgrade

Product Page Display Layouts

Really like the layout method - easy to work with - except for multiple products.

I want to create a custom product page layout and apply that to the entire store.
Ok - not to hard to click on - "apply layout to other products" - yes and no.

For a small store selecting a thousand products and applying the custom layout - not to hard but still a little tedious.

But for a store with 10's of thousands of products - the apply custom layout is very tedious. - odds of missing some items - high.

Am I missing something?
Is there a better way to set a custom layout as a default layout for all products within the store?

Why not a global custom product layout option?
