Shop By Brand ASP Code

   Are there plans to make an asp function which will automatically draw a drop down and fill it with the brands currently stored in the database.  

I know this can be done manually using the search function.  But if you have a lot of brands and want to remove or add some, then manually doing this can be cumbersome.

	You can do this already. Just define a category called 'brand' then setup the brands as sub-categories. You can then choose 'brands' to show as a drop down. Products can then be associated with the right sub-categories. Each category can have its own picture and description, so you can create powerful effects. You don't need to use the Brand function for it. cheers Mark

	Why not just lift the code from the search page that lists the brands? Code starts on line 323 in Search.asp in the /pc/ directory, ends line 343. Edited by NWilliams - 28-January-2007 at 9:47pm
