Discount Codes - How many can I use at once?

   I have a new store (Ontario , Canada) and am going to offer discount codes in a flyer to attract customers. Is there a limit to the number of discount codes that I can have before store performance is impacted? Would 8 or 10 codes at once be too many? I'd like to determine what area of this large province is giving me the most business.
