Hi All,
I'm moving my home page to the root directory and all seems to have gone well so far, but my problem is when I try www.mydomainname.com I get a blank screen. If I try www.mydomainname.com/home.asp it works and displays my home page.
How do I get my home page to display with just www.mydomainname.com? Is it related to index.asp or the setting of a default home page somewhere?
Thanks in advance for any help!

Hi St_Pierce
Ask your hosting company to add home.asp in IIS or rename home.asp to index.asp

Thanks Nigel!! That did the trick!
One other thing I noticed is that when I turn the store "off" in the store settings of the control panel. Then go to my domainanme.com page , I get "The page cannot be found" error and I see why; The "msg.asp" page is trying to be called from the root.
The page "pcStartSession.asp" has the following code...
'****** ' Check if store is ON or OFF '***********
If scStoreOff="1" then
response.redirect "msg.asp?message=83"
End If
Would it be better to change the code or just copy the msg.asp page to the root?
Thanks again for all your help!

Hi St_Pierce,
The documentation for moving the home page has had quite a few updates in the last couple of days. Your post prompted another, but it's worth reviewing the process again. For your specific question see : http://wiki.earlyimpact.com/how_to/move_home_page_retain_ajax#copy_and_edit_home.asp |
