Confirmation email not sending

Hello-

We are using Product 4, SP4 and over the July 4th weekend began hearing from customers that some confirmation emails were not being sent.

We have switched the email setting from CDOSYS to CDO, but still are receiving scattered reports of confirmation emails not making to our customers.

There does not seem to be any common thread with the customers, email address, time, etc. It seems odd that the problem has just popped up.

We have made no changes to the email system.

Any ideas?

First, use the test tool in the admin to see if the test e-mail gets sent to you.  If that is successful, or not, then you need to work with your host.  It's not likely a ProductCart issue.  There's all sorts of weirdness that can happen, and it can be as simple as the SMTP service has stopped on your server and needs to be restarted.  Or you may need to set your "send from" e-mail address and the SMTP authentication flag.  Let us know what you find out.

Hi Jeff,

I had a similar problem crop up all of a sudden. It may not be your issue but it turned out that with my host I needed to show my outgoing smtp as relay.host.com rather smtp.host.com. Once I made the change, all worked as expected.
