I have recently added a couple of new servers for hosting my clients ProductCart websites. I have been using Persits AspUpload with ASPJpeg successfully on my Windows 2003 server and this enables the image upload and resize function in ProductCart. After installing the same combination on my new windows 2008 R2 servers ProductCart is not picking them up so the feature remains hidden in the control panel.
I have downloaded and installed the latest 64 bit versions with no joy. Persits states that the component is registered automatcially.
I have 2 questions for anyone else using the same combination on their servers:
1. Can you get the older 32bit version to run on win server 2008 r2 64 bit?
2. How do I get either version to work on win server 2008? Have I missed a step or should the automatic install work?
Many thanks
Nigel

Our Win2008 servers run those components in 32bit mode. I'll send you a note off-forum.

Hi
2 things. 1) The licence key for 32bit is different to the 64bit. From PS website "With the exception of AspPDF, you have to purchase a 64-bit key anew even if you already own a 32-bit key. If you are unable or unwilling to purchase the 64-bit license, you still have the option of switching IIS to the 32-bit mode and reusing your existing 32-bit registration key." More info here. 2) I wouldnt trust that the component was registered during install. I would re-register manually and restart the server. Good Luck.

Thanks for the replies - heres the solution:
You have to copy the DLL´s to c:\windows\SysWOW64 then register them using regsvr32 at the command promt.
There is another suggested step to add the everyone user to the product Id in the registry and give it full control in permissions though I'm not sure that was necessary.
