In the .csv file I export from PC. nthat helps guide me add products. Some columns are unused ( blank ) I have been just deleting those before reimport.....some columns contain a 0 some a -1. Does the 0 indicate a particular setting? What if I delete those columns? Will the new product simply be assigned a 0?

Thanks
Chris

Hi Chris,

I think some of this came over from Access a long time ago and is still legacy in the application.

Zero still means "off"/"not set", but in some cases "on"/"set" is represented with either a -1 or a 1.

There are a lot of these, and I can't say that most of them are set to have a "0" as the default in the database rather than a NULL (if you were to not include these columns in your spreadsheet).

However, I do not think NULL rather than "0" is an issue anywhere in the application. That's is I'm pretty darned sure you can get away with deleting the columns of concern on your import. I would try a test on one product first to be sure, though.
