We are looking at Pay Junction to process our credit cards.

The ProductCart Wiki for Pay Junction says "that a client program is required to reside on your server" (see below).

Technical support at Pay Junction is saying the client program should not be needed and thinks maybe the ProductCart Wiki needs to be looked at.  Plus, the link to Pay Junction to get the client program is broken.

Thank you for any feedback on this issue.  Your help is appreciated

Jack

Pay Junction - QuickLink

Like PayFlow Pro, Pay Junction requires a client program to reside on your web server. If you do not have the ability to install applications on your Web server, you may ask your host to install it. If you host declines, then you should opt to go with a payment gateway that does not require a client program.

The WinHttp.WinHttpRequest.5 Client component is available for Windows platforms and is shipped with msxml.msi and can be found in asp.zip. It can be integrated as a web-based or non web based application. It does not require the http protocol to run, which allows for greater flexibility in configuration and reduced processing overhead for faster performance. For more information, consult the Pay Junction QuickLink API Manual.

Hi, ProductCart supports a lot of payment gateways, unfortunately we do not always get informed when they change the integration methods, but they usually support the old and new versions for quite some time. Your best options are to raise a support ticket so that our developers can take a look. It's also worth checking with Pay Junction if both techniques are supported.

Thanks Hamish.

Pay Junction is saying all that should be required is the API login and password as similar to authorize.net (which is what we are using now).  They are also saying that the files specified in the Product Cart Wiki should not be required.

Also, the link to the files in the Wiki is broken.  The link points to the Pay Junction server.

Since we do not have a current Product Cart support agreement we can not submit a ticket at this time.  Perhaps Early Impact could review/update the Wiki for the benefit of Product Cart users, especially since those links are broken?
