A client wishes me to alter the beginning Order number (PCv3, Access db). I figured I could turn off auto-increment for the Order table, use a SQL query to insert a higher number into that field, and then re-establish auto-increment. Unfortunately, MS-Access won't allow this and reports there is a relationship on that column. Any way to do this? Thanks,

Hi Greg, just go to the control panel, Settings | Store Settings then click the Order & Customer Related tab. Change the setting for order # increase. There is also a setting for Customer # increase. For more details see the PC user's guide. |
