changing catagory/product links

   I would like to change my catagory and product links so that they show the name of the product or catagory instead of a "idproduct=number" or "idcatagory=number" For example if I have a product called "latex gloves" I would prefer the link to be that instead of "idproduct=978". Is there a way to do this?
