Tiered Reward Points Program

   I want to implement a Rewards Program, where for every $1.00 = 2 points. But I do not want people redeeming points immediately. I want to have 500 points accrue so they have a $10.00 discount. Thus, 1000 points = $20.00 and 2000 points = $40.00
I run a high end shop and seeing a -$2.00 doesn't look right. Additionally, by having points accrue to a total of 500, means they have to keep shopping to get a usable discount and not just shop once for the discount.
Has anyone done this with Product Cart?
I currently use them in my actual store and would like to use the same program online.
