Hello - Has anyone ever added the words "In-Stock" or "Back-Ordered" on the Invoice? I see that is it on the Edit Order page, but nowhere else. It would be nice to see this for on the picking list so that we know what is really there and I would like to see this information on the printed Invoice and on the order email that is sent to the store manager and the customer too.
I see the code in the AdminEditOrder.asp that puts this text on the screen, but wondered how much of this code would be needed to be put on the OrdInvoice.asp and other places? I have the apparel add-on. Thanks Avalight |

As I understand it, if an item is not "in stock" when ordered (one that allows back-ordering necessarily), the field pcPrdOrd_BackOrder in table ProductsOrdered is set to 1. I use this in a Crystal report I run against a download of our SQL data. However, unless you keep your inventory in PC up-to-date, it is not definitive. That's the issue for us. We make our own product so it still shows as back-ordered even though we might have just made it and are ready to ship. We see it more as a flag to inquire versus a true status. |
