Special characters in viewcategories.asp

   The special characters are displayed incorrectly only  in the file viewcategories.asp.
 ä, ö, ü

 The meta information charset ISO are set.
 It only affects that one file. On the remaining pages all display correctly.
 We have checked all the files and could find no error.

The menu is displayed correctly with the umlauts.

Does anyone have a clue?

	This is always a tough problem to pin down ... some of the time you can affect the special characters by changing your character encoding to UTF-8 but this is not always a guarantee. This issue can range anywhere from bad server settings to the wrong collation in your Database, to an external javascript that cause this. It appease to be primarily on your view categories page. There is not 'one thing' that will fix this issue and compounded by the fact your store's language is in German you would have to review the character sets for ISO-8859-1 and UTF-8 to make sure the special characters are included in those encoding. I would need to look at your code and your DB to see if there is anything obvious. I would almost like to put your site on my servers temporarily to see it goes away. I will Private message you with my contact details. NOTE you may also want to place a support ticket with Early Impact so this issue can be tracked. I think this is important as ProductCart is used in many countries and many different languages.
