I am wondering if there is a way to allow a customer to upload an image to the cart software, and purchase it? We are selling graphics, and we are going to have a "custom" product, where people can order their own images - say, they could upload a picture of their kid playing football, and we will crop out everyone but their kid, so they can stick it on the wall. What I want is for them to be able to add their own images to this 1 product - so the image could be different every time that 1 product is ordered.
Does that make sense? Thanks to anyone that can help!

An inexpensive way of approaching this is to use the built-in HELP DESK. Tell the customer to log in to the store, access their order, and click "help" where they will find an upload tool.
The better way is what Dan Anderson http://www.nicwebdesign.com/ has done, using BTO, for a print company. He set it up so that products requiring an upload are marked with a checkbox. When such products are present in an order, the viewcart.asp page forces uploads for those items before allowing the checkout process to begin. If this interests you, feel free to contact him to check out the details, or talk to us about it.

Unfortunately I don't think either of these options would work for us. We have a flash component that we are using to allow the customers to modify/rotate/add text/etc. to their image, then from there, they will be redirected to select a size for the image, and customization instructions, then add it to the cart. What I was hoping to do was dynamically display that image for that customer on the apparel size selection page, as well as in the cart.
Any other ideas? Thanks!

It's going to be easier for myself and others if you will add these sorts of details to clarify your initial question.
You may want to take this up with whoever created the flash component, or hire someone who will sit down and carefully examine your requirements and craft a solution. Good luck.

I don't think this has anything to do with the Flash component. The Flash component uploads the final image to the server. So, all I would need to do is grab that image and display it as the image for the custom product in the cart. Plus, the support for the component is terrible - I think it is just one guy that created the tool.
