Showing the Product Count in a Category

   Hello out there!
On a category page, I would like the number of products contained in that Category to dynamically appear in the short description field  for that category.  Sort of like the advanced search feature that displays how many products match the criteria.  Currently, as I add a new product to the category, I must manually update the short description with the new product count.
