When you use the small searchbox and hit submit, the nice (see-through) blue screen with "searching...please wait" shows up, covering the whole page...
I am wondering if it's possible to use this somewhere else on a form or link? Example: If you would click in browse by price on the link: from $500 - $1000, it takes a while before the showsearchresults.asp page shows (as it's searching)... Is it possible to show this (I assume AJAX) loading screen untill the searchresults page is ready? I'm guessing it would be kind of the same as the small searchbox, right? Note: I'm still using V3.12a Edited by worldofrugs - 19-June-2009 at 1:46pm |

Paul, the best I can do is direct you to the following WIKI article which deals with retaining that feature when referencing the search form from the root of the site. Beyond that, what you are asking for is not something I have done on any of my sites so I don't have code to throw over to you. BTW, you ought to get yourself moved up to 3.51.

Thanks Greg,
You pointed me out in the right direction ![]() I ended up not using it / removing it after I figured it out (found an alternative that looked better for this situation), but I did managed to find and implement it. Again, you've been a super help! |
