Has anyone ever experienced the system skipping order IDs and if so is this something we should be concerned with? Recently, we have had Product Cart skip from Order #67 to 69 and from 69 to 72. I just wanted to make sure those missing order numbers didn't signal a problem with the database.
Thanks! |

Hi,
It's not a problem. Order ID's are assigned (if I remember correctly) at the start of Checkout, but not all cusomers complete the process for any number of reasons. If you see large gaps then perhaps this could indicate problems, such as an issue with a payment gateway, but small gaps are quite normal. It'salways worth checking the Incomplete Orders list. Many stores follow these up and often pick up extra sales/customers. |

Hamish,
Thank you for the response. That makes sense especially since I learned this morning that a couple of users were not able to complete the checkout because they say the one-page checkout screen overlaps for them at the bottom. I have asked for a verification on machine type and operating system being used (and screen shots if possible) to see if I can recreate the problem. Thank you. |
