I'm not sure if there is a bug here or I'm missing something.
Using ProductCart v4.0a SP 3. I setup a 3% discount for orders between $200-$300. I setup a filter to exclude 1 category. The order contains $70 of product eligible for discount and $150 of product not eligible. The discount code sees the $220 order and applies the 3% discount to the $70 order. It seems that the discount should not be applied to the $70 order since it is not in the $200-$300 range. I would think the discount code should not be looking at the total order. Instead it should subtract the filtered categories/products from the total order before deciding it falls in the $200-$300 range. Any help would be appreciated. I opened a ticket yesterday and they got right back to me. Basically they are saying this is working as designed. Although, they can see my point. They were going to forward my ticket to the developers.
I requested they considered this as an option. Also requested they point me at the code, so I can removed filtered [excluded] product/categories from the cart total for discount code calculation purposes. Currently [excluded] product/categories are included in the cart total when matching to each discount code range. |
