I recently moved one of my sites to a new server and I'm getting some link 404 errors on a few relative links as well as links to my custom content pages.
On my old server, links to custom content pages looked like this:
Now that returns a 404 error and only this code works:
Does anyone know how I can get those links back to the SEO friendly version? Also for my logout link which looks like this:
It doubles up the shop and pc directories. So instead of the url looking like this: http://www.website.com/shop/pc/default.asp?action=clear it looks like this: http://www.website.com/shop/pc/shop/pc/default.asp?action=clear Causing a 404 error. Does anyone have any idea why that would be happening? Thanks |

Did you set your server to redirect 404's to the appropriate file in ProductCart?
Hard to say on the second question... Could be a myriad of things. -Ted |

Brian - you need to set the custom 404 handler according to this WIKI article:

Ok cool, I knew it was something easy like that, I just forgot how I did it originally.
What about the doubled up directories issue I'm having on log out? It also happens when you clear the cart. The first issue I could live with... This one is driving me crazy. Cheers. |

dunno. first place I'd look is at home page settings on general settings tab. seems there is a / missing somewhere causing a script to want to look relative to current location rather than relative to the root.

GOT IT!
Both issues have been solved. The issue was in my storeconstants.asp file. When we switched servers we also switched domain names and for some reason scStoreURL was entered as: http://www.website.com/shop/pc/ instead of just: http://www.website.com/ Thanks for the point in the right direction! Cheers :) |
