My navigation is way too huge and getting bigger - www.caninedesigns.com
I would like to implement 2 drop down lists, the first being populated by some of the main categories (Dog Breeds) and the 2nd being populated by products available dependent on the Breed selected.
1. Is this something I can easily do and I am just not understanding how to do it? If so, could someone please explain how it's done.
2. Does this need some customization? If so, could someone please give me a quote on what it would take to get this done.
Thanks

1) I don't think you are missing any magic buttons/options that will do this for you.
2) Yes, would require customisation. In the short term I would suggest the following. Instead of having Breed and then it's subcategories in the menu I would just go for breed. I would then have that link to that specific Breed Category and show the sub categories of Keyrings etc in there. This would reduce the size of you left navigation menu drastically and it would display much quicker. The time taken to display your menu is down to the browser having to do a heap of work to render it, so even if it is static (I would hope so) it still takes a while. |
