Cross-Selling with Apparel Products in V4?

I've tried searching and can't find an answer.  Will this functionality be available/fixed in V4?

I really need the ability to create bundles and product promotions and still allow customers to choose color options, etc!

No because it would be quite hard to define the bundles at the sub-product level. It's not that hard when there is only one option (e.g. Color), but considering that many stores have several options active (e.g. Color, Size, Style), with potentially different prices for different sub-products, it would be very hard to manage the creation of such bundles in the Control Panel, and almost impossible to display them effectively in the storefront.
