Sales Tax for Promotion Items

   Hi all,
I'm jumping through a lot of hurdles these days thanks to the forum members.
Today, I would like to figure out if I can change how tax is applied in checkout page.

Right now, I have a buy one get one promotion going on. For this promotion, the sales tax is applied to certain states only and on the gross total BEFORE discount promotion has been applied.

What I would like to do is apply the tax on the total AFTER the discount.

So say the unit cost of a product A is $10 and sales tax is 10%.
If I buy TWO of the product A, the total is $20. After promotion, the toal is $20 - $10 = $10
I would like the tax to be $10 * .1 = $1.

How do i make this change?

	Hi, Please raise a support ticket so we can properly investigate.The behaviour you are seeing seems just as wrong to me as it does to you!

	which file do I look into to make the changes quickly? Any help would be appreicated.

	I doubt it's a simple fix and may involve changes to several files - it's one for the development team, please log into your account and raise a support ticket.
