Some of you have reported problems posting messages that contain ASP code. The HTML editor built into this forum changes some of the code. We contacted the publishers of this application, and here is what they replied:

One of the biggest problems with the WYSIWYG editor, becuase they use API's built into the browser the browser can re-write allot of code, try using a different browser like Firefox, that creates much better code, or try disabling the WYSIWYG editor.

So I guess there is no "fix" for this problem for the moment. Try:

  • Using FireFox
  • Disabling the editor from your account preferences
  • Attaching a TXT file instead of adding the code to the message.

We are sorry that we don't have a better solution for this issue at this time. We are pretty pleased with this forum application otherwise.

Are they using the [ code ] [/ code] feature? (remove the spaces to have it work)

 <% query="SELECT * from products where idProduct="&pIdProduct&";"

                        set rsRewards=server.CreateObject("ADODB.RecordSet")
                        set rsRewards=conntemp.execute(query)

...
                    ' ASP comment
                    %>
