I'm trying to get a feel for how everyone is doing on Google. Are you ranking well for your main keywords? Are you coming up 1st on Google for your primary keyword?

What kind of stuff are you doing to get your site to rank well? Are you promoting primarily category pages, product pages, or custom landing pages that lead into your ProductCart store? Or are you directing most of your traffic at your homepage and going from there?

We were ranking great until late 2012 when, I believe, Google stopped giving weight to exact match domains. Since then, we've fallen far in the rankings and our sales have taken a big hit. I'm looking for anything we can do to improve this, and possibly any ProductCart-specific stuff we can do to improve our search results performance.

So, is anyone doing very well on Google? If so, what's your secret?

The secret is to stop worrying about google and focus on user experience and customers. Google can change the algorithm at anytime and all that work you've done will go to waste again and again.

This is not exactly a secret. It's the same rhetoric everyone says when someone asks about SEO. Obviously you should be putting user experience first and foremost, but that doesn't preclude the importance of doing some level of SEO. The fact is that if SEO wasn't at least somewhat important then there wouldn't be an entire industry around it.
