Hi...I'm just setting up our first store and am curious how others handle their accounting. We are using an accounting software package called Sage Accpac. There isn't any way I can automatically interface my sales with this software, so I'll have to do it manually. I could enter each individual sale as an "invoice" but that would be double the amount of work. Or I could collect sales and enter as a weekly or monthly batch. I need to enter at least monthly because our accounting software calculates the sales tax. Here in Alabama we have to remit to dozens of different places (one of the most complicated sales tax states I'm told) so to calculate the taxes from online sales manually isn't an option. What does everybody else do? Thanks! |
