Make Inactive Multiple Products

   Have v5.2.10, running MSSQL database.
Need to bulk de-activate (make inactive) 173 products.  Tried exporting all of the products I want to update, imported it into Microsoft Excel 2007, made the changes, saved as .xls, then when importing into ProductCart, it gave an error that it was trying to import images and they exceeded the size limit of ProductCart import wizard.  I have no images I want to import, just make inactive over 100 products.

I do not do this on a regular basis, so can anyone instruct me as to how I can just change the field "Active" from "-1" (active) to "0" (inactive) on multiple products?  Can I export just key fields such as product ID, SKU and "Active" field status, then upload THAT to deactivate those specific products?  Will it mess up the database/products if I do that?
