I would be interested in other peoples experience. I am currently using a dedicated Comodo SSL license, and options of credit card via LinkPoint and PayPal. Your mileage may vary....

1. About 5% of customers after submitting verified payment by credit card are "unsure" about the authenticity of the transaction and page back and forward in their browser. This generates multiple emails but (fortunately) only one payment.

2. Only 10% of my orders are via PayPal. However, recently a number of customers have been using e-check via PayPal. My understanding is that the e-check takes a number of days before payment is granted. Therefore the customer ends up leaving an incomplete order. Strictly speaking this is correct - however, I have been caught out a number of times then not linking the completed e-check to the order and rescuing the incomplete order.

3. Personally, I have never had an issue when checking out with credit cards on other e-tailer's sites. The fact that I get 10-15 incomplete orders a week worries me. It would be desirable if these were categorized further if possible.

I'm using Authorize.net, PayPal & Google Checkout.

No one uses PayPal. About 35% of my transactions are through GCO.

I haven't observed any problems with users processing CCs. I get about 1-2 drop-offs a month from GCO, tho. I think it's because the option is so prominent they think that's the only way to pay and then it redirects them to sign up for an account. About 25% of those drop-offs do end up converting.

Thanks for the feedback. I have recently been reviewing my account with LinkPoint and will be changing soon to another creditcard merchant. My particular cost issues relate to:
1. being charged to refund  - both for the transaction and a % of the fee.
2. Secondly, reward cards  are being charged at 3.65%

If you have better experience - I would be grateful to hear it.

We often receive incomplete orders when the customer pays through Paypal.
We, however, are using a shared SSL, but yet, we are unsure why this is
happening.

Make sure that you have all the settings setup correctly. There are many ProductCart-powered stores that use PayPal without any issues.
