I am trying to do two things:

1.  I want my menu to stay open when someone clicks on one of the categories.  Currently, if you click on a new category on my website, the whole menu collapses.  I don't think this makes sense.

2. I want the menu to expand if someone clicks on the category name instead of the +/- image.

My website is http://www.thesleepshop.com/store/pc/Bed-Frames-c2.htm - http://www.thesleepshop.com/store/pc/Bed-Frames-c2.htm .  I want my menu to behave like the following website:  http://www.cbradiosplus.com/ - http://www.cbradiosplus.com/ .  I just feel like this is something simple to fix.  Thanks for any help.

Howdy

1) Somethings not right here with your menu file. Usually, if you click a subdirectory in your menu, it should stay open. And stays open whilest you inside that subcategory. not sure why yours doesnt stay open.

2) You need to change the menu .inc file to do this. We got rid of the +/- because some clients found it confusing. Only issue here is when you click it, it takes you to the page and doesnt just collapse/uncollapse the menu.

Sorry, not much help, but all your problems are with your inc_RetailCatMenu.inc file and/or how PC generates this file inside the admin section ( inc_catsmenu.asp)

Hi Rob and thanks for your response!

I have checked both of those files and I can't see anything unusual.  I have implemented the code to generate static htm pages on my website using the redirect method created by Early Impact.  I think that may be where my problem is.  I may just end up creating a menu of my own; even if it won't be dynamic, at least it will be easy to navigate.  Incidentally, I completely agree with you that the +/- image is confusing to customers.  I don't think the average internet user is familiar with +/- as a means to expand or collapse a menu.  I appreciate your help!
