It would be nice to require reviewers to log into their account prior to writing a review.  We have kids and spammers that think their garbage gets automatically posted.   We still have to go into the backend to approve each review, but find ourselves now busy deleting the garbage.  I fear that others may have the same problem, since many spammers search google for specific applications to post their garbage to.  My solution would be that the link to write a review stays on the product pages.  Only that it will require posters to log into their account prior to posting, unless they are already logged in.  This would also prevent people from posting reviews for products they have not purchased from us.  I don't mind them that much, but I prefer them to sign up for an account before posting.

We don't believe this would help. They would simply create a bogus account. Did you try beefing out the "Bad Words" list? That might help.

Well they don't always use bad words.  We are working on the word list for terms like viagra and the like.  I personally think login in makes it more cumbersum for them, and may reduce the problem.   They are trying to get the spam out fast, and don't like to spend to much time on getting there.  Perhaps it can be set up to be optional for the store owner.
