I want to use the ecommerce widget on a wordpress blog but found that the database requirement is MySQL and not MSSQL.  Does anybody have a recommendation on how to get around this?

The only think I can think of is to create a new domain such as http://www.mywebsiteblog.com - www.mywebsiteblog.com  .
I'm more interested in wordpress because of the added functionality.
Does blogspot require mysql database?  How does productcart use their blog: productcart.blogspot.com/

Thanks!

Justin

There is no database requirement at all for the http://wiki.earlyimpact.com/widgets/productcart_ecommerce_widget - ProductCart e-Commerce Widget . The product data comes directly from the ProductCart-powered store that "feeds" the widget. There are detailed installation instructions on the http://wiki.earlyimpact.com/widgets/productcart_ecommerce_widget - ProductCart WIKI , including instructions for use with WordPress.

Thanks for the clarification, but I would like to use wordpress blog hosted from my domain.  Such as http://www.mywebsite.com/blog - www.mywebsite.com/blog or http://www.blog.perfectionprint.com - www.blog.perfectionprint.com .   I checked with my host (discountasp.net) and found out they do not support wordpress because my host uses mssql while wordpress only supports mysql.

I noticed product cart's blog is using blogspot.earlyimpact.com and can't figure out how they host a blog and product cart's shopping cart with different database requirements (mssql and mysql) respectively.

If you are using product cart and want to run a blog, what are you doing?
Is there anyone using wordpress blog along with product cart?

Thanks in advance!

We enthusiastically support mysql (offering both versions 4 and 5) and have several Wordpress blogs installed, particularly on PC sites.  Installing the new widget is a cakewalk - it's literally a matter of sticking a line or two of code into this file:
/wordpress/wp-content/themes/default/sidebar.php
