Hi,

It would be nice to have a fully CSS layout and ditch the tables.

Has anyone taken on the challenge and converted their store to fully CSS?

Regards

Wayne.

Hi Wayne,
I'm a big fan of CSS, although it does give me a headache sometimes. I had thought about this before, however, a fair amount of the use of tables in ProductCart is sensible and logical as the data being represented is tabular such as lists of products and/or categories etc.
More importantly, the use of tables is still pretty deeply embedded in the code & the effort to remove it would be very significant. You would then be left with a very large maintenance overhead, updating many many files as upgrades were released.

Looking at the huge variety of site designs out there that have been created with PC I personally doubt very much it's worth the effort. The CSS and display options that are in place already make this a very flexible solution that already meet the needs of most people.

Just my two cents :-)
