This is my first post in the ProductCart forum, so excuse me if something is out of wack.

I am looking for a solution that would allow entry of a referral code during check out that would recognize an affiliate and track their commission just like it would if the referral came through a rerral link. Anybody have any ideas or what that feature might cost to develop?

A - Have you examined the current "affiliate tracking" feature? If so, poke around the admin tools and the documentation.

B - An upgrade of this feature is being introduced in V3.5

Hi there, thanks for your quick response. I have poked around in the Admin tools and the documentation and, unless I missed something, I am under the impression that the affiliate feature only tracks referrals from Web links. Did I miss something?

Also, do you know when Ver. 3.5 is due out?

As far as I know it is only from webpage or email links. I like the idea of having the possibility to enter a code at checkout just like you enter your coupon. The affiliate id would work well in this scenario. This helps for those affiliates that for example have a printed newsletter or radio show. They can simply give the stores URL and their code, instead of a long URL. It would also be nice to give special benefits to those following this entry, like free shipping or x% off. It would be like a special coupon that applies to one affiliate.
