We require that all International orders be shipped to the customers billing address.  We do not allow a separate bill to/ship to.

The admin does not give the ability to restrict bill to/ship to this way.

This is what I would like it to do.

If Billing Country Code = United States allow separate ship to
if not use the billing address and do not show the ship to fields.

I know what I would like it to do, I just don't know enough programming to write it or where to insert it.

Anyone?

Thanks,

Earl

I see the point that this may cut back on fraudulent orders, but I prefer to keep it the way it is.  We are selling German gift items in the USA, and have many customers in Germany that have us send our items to their friends in the USA.  It saves them money, because they don't have to pay high shipping cost from Germany.

What I would like to see is having two tables one for order countries and one for shipping countries.  This would allow us to have customers from various countries place orders to be shipped to other countries.  We can that way accepts orders from more countries then we are shipping to.  Sounds crazy, but it would be more useful.
It would also be nice to exclude certain items from being shipped outside the USA or Canada.  I'm thinking of electronic items with voltage restrictions.

YOu need to subscribe to a BIN number lookup or ask your bank to assist you. This will give you the issuing bank's address and telephone number. Direct the bank that you are enquiring of a suspicious purchase from one of their customers and ask for their assistance. Maxmind could help. It will tell you if the computer that made the order is hundreds if not thousands of miles away from the billing address. In this instance, require the customer to fax a copy of the front and back of the credit card along with a government issued ID. But still contact the issuing bank to send an alert. NEVER rely upon the inputted phone and email as these could be the contact of the fraudster and not the customer.

Thanks for the information.

We're not having issues with fraud or even chargebacks, this is just a small house keeping detail that would save us some time for the few customers that input a separate shipping address.

Just put a message on the address page - stating your policy i.e. If order is being shipped outside of the US, the shipping and billing address must be the same, no exceptions.
