Hi

I use the BTO variant of the store and have been looking into the reward points option. The only dilemma that I see currently is......

The base product earns points the BTO items don't so the customer isn't earning points on the options

Definitely one to add from where I am sat as i know what people will be asking me all day long of i implement that option currently.

just discoved this limitation in bto...

so as a customer... if my bto computer ends up costing me $400 i get 100 points. if my bto computer ends up costing me $1400 i still get 100 points!! - pretty much makes the reward points feature useless with bto products.

early impact - is there an solution to this right now?

another solution in my opinion... have the option of setting the reward points at the store level and not at the product level... ie i just spent $500 at this shop, i get 50 points (@10%).

We agree that this should behave differently.  Specifically, Reward Points should be accrued on the entire purchase of a BTO product.  We will look into this further and plan to update the relevant files for v2.76bp soon.  Once these are available, we will update this thread and anyone that needs these files can request them by sending an e-mail to: support@earlyimpact.com

For BTO customers only:  we have modified a few files to take the fully configured product value into consideration when calculating Reward Points.  If you would like to test this out on your own store, please send an e-mail to:  mailto:support@earlyimpact.com - support@earlyimpact.com and provide your ProductCart license number or order number in the e-mail.  You will need to be running v2.76bp to use these files.

Slightly off topic,  Reward points options, I would like to see the limitations removed in terms of the  10 x product price = reward point and  1% redemption value.  for example Allowing a $100 purchase to earn 1800 points  and redemable for  $6.00

Why not the obvious, the one page redemtion product gallery.

Have the customer choose between 1 to 6 redemtion products. Each
valued progressively. $10 / $30 / $50 / $100 etc.. (up to admin of the
site)

Under Product admin options: There should be a check button option to
mark this product as a redemtion product (or clone this product as a
redemtion product.. etc).

Customers could then choose form one page (A link upon checkout would
also be good) the redemtion products they would like.

On this page, the total reward poin name and total should show.
The customer could obviously only add redemtion products that are in
their reward point balance limit.

Now that would be very usefull..
since we could send customers this via email..
to entice them to come back for a visit.. and purchase.. that is.
