I noticed this in V3.12 and it continues in V3.5. If you click on a subcategory in viewcategories.asp the parent/top level category name/description isn't refreshed. It shows as part of the breadcrumb and pressing F5 does show the correct category name.

Has anyone else noticed this problem, or is it just our installation?

This is not a known issue and we cannot replicate it (unless we are not understanding what the problem is).

It may just be a browser caching issue. Or I might have misunderstood the question.
