I want to use ProductCart as an ecommerce someday...but for now I'm just wondering if I can disable the shop, view cart, check out, etc. ? I just want to display my items for users to view ONLY ...how do I do that in the administrator control panel?

This is easily done under the Order Settings. Please refer to the ProductCart User Guide for more information.
