Is there possibly a way to automatically notify customers if their backordered item has become in stock?

There was a customer that has added some parts to his 'Wish List', and would to know when the parts will become available.

Not currently. Check the list of Top 5 recommended ( http://www.earlyimpact.com/forum/forum_topics.asp?FID=21 - http://www.earlyimpact.com/forum/forum_topics.asp?FID=21 ) wants for product cart v4, it should be in there a few times from customers wanting that feature.

2. one page quick checkout WITHOUT needing to register or login
3. Automatic Google base export every week
4.Integration with endicia.com so shipping labels can be printed from Control Panel on a Zebra printer
5. Better SEO fidings and google bot rating system
