Hello. Is there a way to customize the checkout process to add additional fields? We like to collect marketing data from our customers (for example, collecting their position in their company). I have not found a spot in the control panel to add these fields.
Thanks

Please experiment with the "special customer fields" feature you see on the customer menu in the admin. Also look at the "checkout settings" for a few options provided there.

Thanks for the tip. The Custom Fields under the Customer menu meets my needs when I need text input, but not for checkbox input. This is because I need a group of checkboxes that are under one description. Right now it creates a new section for each description even if it is the same name. It is a situation in which the customer needs to check all that apply.

In that case you probably need to add custom code. You might want to call some of the developers to see who has time/skills for such a request if that's the approach you wish to take.

Hi, one note of caution on modifying the checkout. That's one aspect of ProductCart which will be significantly changed in V4, due out in the Autumn, so allow for the impact of migrating custom code in your plans.
