Instead of putting anything in the image selection just add it in the HTML for the product Description.

Are you trying to display the flash as the main category image at the top, or as the image for one of the subcategories?

I suggest you post a link.  It's very hard to direct you if we are simply guessing at what you are doing, and trying to interpret what you say you see.

If you need to display flash at the root level, such as you propose here, you cannot do this without custom mods.  You need the entire HTML block of code that drives the Flash to be placed into the root category records somewhere, then alter viewcategories.asp to go grab that code and place it on the page.

If you want to display flash as the upper image on an inner category such as below, you can try placing that block of HTML to drive the flash in the category description.
http://www.gifts-ontime.com/productcart/pc/viewCategories.asp?idCategory=15 - http://www.gifts-ontime.com/productcart/pc/viewCategories.asp?idCategory=15

Does this make sense?

Yeah greg, I tried placing the html code to the category description before and its works no doubt. But  where should i put block of html code and how viewcategories.asp will grab it.
I know flash needs to be embedded but what files should i alter??? and how??

I'm sorry but the scale of such a request is greater than I can provide here in the forum.

Perhaps someone else will go do this and post it for you, but you may need to hire a developer to help if you cannot work this out.

See https://www.earlyimpact.com/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=2933 - https://www.earlyimpact.com/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=2933

While this would be a simple customization of the source code for who's familiar with the server-side scripting, as Greg says: it's a bit beyond scope to handled on the forum here.
