We have a big issue and I wonder, if there is a fix out for it. 
We do have items that weigh less then an ounce, and we use for them xyz number equals 1 pound option.  So far this has not been an issue, but it seems that the postal server has implemented a change yesterday which will no longer return a shipping rate for shipments showing 0 weight.  This has been brought up to our attention by several customers who did not feel paying a lot of UPS shipping for light items they have bought from us in the past via postal.  I wonder how many other customers stop shopping at our site, because of that.  I've run several tests on the site by adding an item and estimating shipping charges.  USPS will only respond if the cart shows a weight.   The cart does not show a weight for the items that are marked as x = 1 pound, but for all items that have a regular weight.  We need a fix fast.

Katharina,

sorry to hear that you are having problems with the shipping component. Please submit a support ticket and we will review this with the development team next week. The developers that are most familiar with the shipping components in ProductCart are off this weekend.

With regard to the fact that this appears to have happened all of a sudden: we have not received any direct communication from USPS with regard to changes to the shipping APIs, at least as far as I know. So I'm not sure what might have happened to cause this behavior. We'll have to investigate.
