Has anyone else found Google indexing the search box - I have hundreds, maybe thousands of search results from the showsearchresults.asp page.

There might be links to search results both on your Web store and on other Web properties. If that is the case, those "hardcoded searches" would definitely be indexed by Google (and there is nothing wrong or to worry about).
