Hi All,

When product are shown in table format from the viewcategory page, all products are displayed with the "More Details" button and only some have the "Buy" button. I'm quessing that's because the products that require options don't have the "Buy" button from that screen.

My Question is, can I turn the "Buy" button off from within the control panel or does this require commenting out the button code? I would prefer the customer reading the details on the product before adding it to the cart. Also, would keep a more uniform appearance on the view category products screen.

If a code change is needed, does anyone know the asp page?

Hi, this would need to be modified in the code. It is not a setting in the control panel.

The module to edit would be one of the following depending on how products are displayed on your category page:

pcShowProductH.asp - horizontal display (most common)

pcShowProductL.asp - list display

pcShowProductM.asp - list with multiple add to cart display

pcShowProductP.asp - vertically with image display

Search for this code to see the line that displays the Add To Cart button:

In v4 this has become an option in the Control Panel. It's under Settings > Store Settings > Miscellaneous > Disable "Quick Buy" Feature

I'm glad I didn't start on that code mod yet... Turning off this option in the control panel worked great! I thought I had seen that somewhere but just couldn't remember where.
