I'm certain that at one point the Early Impact website stated that the Apparel Add-On was included in recent versions of PC Standard; including the newest version -- 4.x?
To this day, the website is very vague about that. If it isn't included, do I have to purchase and install it seperately? Is it compatible with v4?

Regarding the apparel add-on: I understand it supports displaying a different product image based on selecting an option (like color). Does it support selecting more than one option, and showing the cooresponding image based on which two options are selected?  For example: Lets say there are 2 styles and 3 colors for a given product. Will it let me associate the 6 different product images with each of the 6 different possible combinations that the customer could select (and show them the correct image after they select)?

Thanks!
Jim

The apparel add-on is a seperate module and must be licensed accordingly.  It plugs in easily to an unaltered store, regardless if the store is new or in production.

Yes, it supports multiple option groups (such as color/size), each attribute within an option group (such as red/green/blue) may have their own image.

This demo product shows that functionality:

To best  understand how you can manage images associated with the different pairings of options, you should review the WIKI http://wiki.earlyimpact.com/apparel_add-on/apparel_add-on - http://wiki.earlyimpact.com/apparel_add-on/apparel_add-on  and look at this screen:

Better yet, you may want to take example images from your products and assign them to the above product so that you can see the functionality in the form you describe.  The demo store data is refreshed regularly so you may want to complete your examination before the nightly refresh.

Greg, thanks for providing that information.

Jim, it's what used to be the "Gift Add-on" that has been included in ProductCart "out of the box" for some time now.

The "Apparel Add-on" has never been included and we've never stated otherwise. However, if you believe that there is incorrect information somewhere on our Web properties, certainly let us know.

Yes, I have to admit I got that mixed up with Gift Add-On.  However, one source of possible confusion (customers thinking that the Apparel Add-On is either included in v4 or not compatible) is what's noted on this page:  http://www.earlyimpact.com/productcart/apparel-software.asp - http://www.earlyimpact.com/productcart/apparel-software.asp
It says at the bottom of the page that "The Apparel Add-on can easily be added to any store running ProductCart v3.x ..."  I suggest that be changed to include v4.

Also... I tested the demo store out and found that having more than one option controlling what image is displayed seems a little buggy.  For example:

I added a different image for Mountain Red Medium (a chicken), so if you select "Mountain Red" and "Medium" you see the chicken.  However if you switch between different colors using the swatches, you are not shown the chicken.  You have to select using the dropdowns to see it again.
