Hey again,
We just upgraded our store to v4 of ProductCart and are looking forward to using this http://wiki.earlyimpact.com/updates/v4 - new feature that was listed as one of the updates in v4 :
"Limit Number of Selections (BTO)
The configuration page in ProductCart Build To Order can now enforce a maximum number of selections (e.g. Box of 12 chocolates: you can only pick up to 12 items)."
Can anyone tell me where I can find this feature? I'm in the v4 BTO configuration screen, but I don't see a quantity limit option anywhere near the "Show Details" "Required Category" "Display Quantity Field", etc. buttons. Any ideas?

Go to Edit the product > Price & BTO settings
Its the last option on that tab. Maximum number of selections:

That's a bummer - I thought you could edit the maximum quantity of each individual standard product within a BTO product. Within one BTO configurator, for instance, we have multiple standard products which need different quantity limits (not one limit for the entire BTO product). I take it there's no way to do what we're looking for, at least with this version of ProductCart.
Oh well. Thanks for tip anyway, whizzinpc.

Ya. I only see a minimum quantity to buy on a bto item. no maximum.

It's designed to work at the BTO product level, not the item level. It's meant to be used in a scenario where you have a "menu" of items to pick from, but a limited number of selections that you can pick (e.g. pick any 6 wine bottles).

Wow, I can see something really useful here. For a promotion only: One (or whatever) number max per customer. Just a thought.
