Is there any Paymentech support for product cart?  If not, will there be in the future?  Has anyone written a plug-in for this?

Unfortunately, when Paymentech was purchased by Chase a few years ago, they changed their certification requirements and now require a lengthy, costly and onerous certification process for 3rd-party shopping carts like ours. Eventually, if/when we have some free time, we will probably revisit the integration process with Chase Paymentech.... but it will not likely happen in the near future due to the fact that all of our developers are completely max'd out for the foreseeable future.

EI - Looking at their integration page, I see that there is a hosted payment page solution.  Do you know if that would be as challenging as the XML integration (for example) would apparently be?

avmndcom - if EI can confirm that this might not have the same certification requirements, would that be an acceptable solution for you?  We have successfully implemented a couple such "hosted page" integrations for clients, and would be willing to look at this with you.

EI?

Greg, that may work.  Here is the deal, this is a national shoe retailer and they prefer them to enter all of their orders through the chains paymentech system (which also does inventory)   Currently, they are using a product cart competitor cart and manually entering cards.   The client wants to convert  over to product cart and would like to avoid two merchant accounts or manual card collection if possible.  Currently, they do some things with e-bay too and just end up entering in a zero'd out transaction for the amount and then some corporate accountant somewhere puts things back in synch.   The bottom line is (I suspect and can probably confirm) they have a hosted payment page they currently go to to do all of this.

thanks for any furthe input.

Hello avmndcom
The hosted page is a fairly simple implementation process, but there are additional fees. http://www.cresecure.com/pages.php?CDpath=6_28 - http://www.cresecure.com/pages.php?CDpath=6_28
It's still probably your best bet. As to avoiding two merchant accounts, the rules are pretty straightforward. You must have a separate merchant account for EACH DOMAIN that is accepting credit cards. Additionally, there are different transactiuon presentment requirements for MOTO vs Ecommerce that would also necessitate having two merchant accounts if they are taking mail or phone orders. These are card association rules, not Chase Paymentech.
