towards end of checkout - we get this error...
 
No shipping rates were returned for your order. The shipping provider's server may be unavailable at this time. Please try again in a few minutes. If the problem persists, please contact the store administrator.
 
why is this appearing... it wont let orders be placd

Hi,
  The broken image is alomost certainly because it has not been uploaded - check which image it should be and then upload it.
Regarding the shipping rates not being returned see : http://wiki.earlyimpact.com/productcart/shipping-no_shipping_rates_returned - http://wiki.earlyimpact.com/productcart/shipping-no_shipping_rates_returned - The WIKI is your friend :-)
Was it working before and has stopped working - or has it never worked? Check your shipping settings are correctly configured and that the shipping company has your store in Live mode. One more point too... about the shipping error... i notice CANADA shipping service is working...

The buttons on the onepagecheckout.asp page are hard-coded on that page, and will not be controlled via the store settings until v4.1.
 
Concerning the shipping situation, you would help by telling us what shipping methods you have active, and what is not showing up.  Nobody is a mind reader here.

Hi,
  When you say Canada Shipping is working - Is this a Canadian store? It would only be used by a Canadian store. Have you determined that the missing button is a definately a "back" button?

I was able to reproduce this while working on a shipping calc problem.

There is a mistake in the OPC code:


<a href="javascript:history.go(-1)"><img src="" alt=""></a>


right before the "continue" button.

Regarding the broken image. I had the same thing happen and fixed it but dont remember exactly what I did. But if you still cant figure it out then I can help you :)

Regarding shipping rate problem. Check to make sure your products have weights assigned to them. We have also had a problem with rates not always being returned and a server reboot fixes the problem. That might not be an option for you on shared hosting.

It would be nice if when that happens it would show in the control panel error report with a breakdown of exactly what was sent to UPS, Fedex etc and what the exact response was.
