What would it take to have Productcart to have realtime instantaneous synchronization with inventory in the brick and mortar store with sales in the webstore?

My POS software tracks inventory levels in real time in the brick and mortar store. How could I track inventory levels from sales done online also, and have them be continuously synchronized?

One way to achieve that is to use the Stone Edge Order Manager. The Order Manager has an optional POS system that is designed to integrate with your shopping carts. As sales are made at the POS, the changes in quantity on hand (QOH) are automatically sent to your Web store(s). The same is true of other QOH changes: new stock received, returns and exchanges, phone and mail orders, etc. Changes due to Web orders are updated whenever you import those orders. You would have to switch from whatever POS system you are now using, but you would end up with a fully integrated system for managing customers, orders, inventory, purchasing, shipping, etc.
